Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has ordered the EU envoy to leave within 72 hours after a group of Venezuelan officials was sanctioned by the EU, Sputnik reported in breaking news.
Maduro's order comes after 11 Venezuelan officials, members of parliament, a magistrate and a senior military officer were expelled by the Council of the European Union on Monday for acting against the opposition-dominated National Assembly, Reuters reported.
The latest sanctions increase to 36 the total number of Venezuelans associated with the Maduro administration. The fines include travel ban.
