Breaking: EFA Postpones El-Ahly vs Zamalek Due to Security Concerns

The Egyptian Football Association EFA decided to postpone the awaited derby between El-Ahly and Zamalek which was scheduled to take place next Saturday due to security concerns. The Association announced that they had received an official notice from security authorities to postpone the match.

Egypt's two biggest teams were set to clash shortly after their phenomenal super cup, which ended with El-Ahly defeating El-Zamalek with 3 goals to 2.

The EFA spread the announcement of their official Facebook page which read " The Association here by announces the postponing of the Ahly vs Zamalek match, which was scheduled to take place next Saturday as part of the standings for the fourth phase of the Egyptian Premier League due to security reasons. The EFA will announce the new date of the postponed match soon."

The Egyptian derby was scheduled to take place next Saturday at the Cairo Stadium.

El-Ahly is currently enjoying first place in the league with 9 points after enjoying a perfect season, while Zamalek are currently ranked fourth with 7 points.
