On Tuesday, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) celebrated Neymar's return to the field after being out for a year due to an injury.
"The CBF celebrates and congratulates Neymar, one of the greatest players in the history of world football, on his return to the field."
"In his return this Monday, the star almost scored, even with limited minutes on the pitch, showcasing his characteristic genius and talent," underlined the confederation.
Neymar "represents the magic of Brazilian football and captivates fans around the world," the confederation described.
"Fans worldwide proudly wear jerseys of the Brazilian national team, Santos, PSG, , and Al-Hilal with the number 10 and Neymar's name on the back," the organization celebrated, expressing its "joy" to see the forward back on the grass.
Brazil's international Neymar made his return to the field for the first time in 12 months, tonight, during Al Hilal's game against Al Ain in the AFC Champions League fixture.
The 32-year-old was sidelined due to an ACL tear in his left knee while playing for Brazil in October 2023.
He made only five appearances for Al Hilal before getting the injury.
Neymar said after Al Hilal's 5-4 victory over Al Ain: “I feel good — it’s (been) so hard."
He added: “I always have a good team. But I’m so happy. I’m back, I’m back.”
Al Hilal’s victory drove the Riyadh-based club's team to the top of the AFC Champions League West standings with three wins.
