The Brazilian Football Confederation is reportedly looking to extend the contract of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti until the 2030 World Cup, following his successful start with the national team since taking charge in May.
According to Brazil’s Globo newspaper, the federation is eager to secure Ancelotti on a long-term deal, convinced by the stability and renewed balance he has brought to the Seleção.
Under his leadership, Brazil has already qualified for the 2026 World Cup.
Ancelotti assumed the managerial role after the end of his contract with Real Madrid and has led Brazil in five matches so far, securing their official qualification for the tournament, which will be held across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
In their most recent outing, Brazil delivered a dominant 5–0 friendly win over South Korea, further boosting confidence within the federation about Ancelotti’s tactical influence and the team’s progress.
One of the most decorated managers in football history, Ancelotti has coached some of the world’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Juventus, and has won five UEFA Champions League titles alongside numerous domestic and continental honors.
