Brazil defeated Egypt 2-1 in an international friendly in Cleveland, Ohio, as both teams completed their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Brazil struck first through Bruno Guimarães in the eighth minute, but Egypt responded quickly when Mustafa "Ziko" Abdel Raouf found the equalizer just four minutes later.
The decisive goal came early in the second half when Endrick finished from close range in the 52nd minute to restore Brazil's lead and secure the victory.
Despite the defeat, Egypt produced an encouraging performance against one of the tournament favorites. Goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir made several important saves, while defenders Yasser Ibrahim and Hamdy Fathy helped keep the scoreline close.
Head coach Hossam Hassan introduced several key players in the second half, including Mohamed Salah, Emam Ashour, Ahmed Sayed Zizo and young striker Hamza Abdelkarim, as Egypt searched for a late equalizer.
The match was Egypt's final test before the World Cup. The Pharaohs enter Group G alongside Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand, opening their campaign against Belgium on June 15.
Brazil, meanwhile, leave the friendly with another confidence-boosting result as they prepare to begin their quest for a sixth World Cup title.
