The Brazil national football team secured an impressive 3-1 victory over the Croatia national football team in an international friendly on Wednesday, as both sides continued preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Brazil opened the scoring deep into first-half stoppage time when Danilo found the net in the 45+2 minute after a series of missed opportunities.
Croatia responded late in the second half, with Luka Majer equalizing in the 84th minute to set up a tense finish.
However, Brazil quickly regained control. Igor Thiago converted a penalty in the 89th minute to restore the lead, before Gabriel Martinelli sealed the win with a third goal in stoppage time (90+3).
The result highlights Brazil’s strong form ahead of the tournament, where they will compete in Group C alongside Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.
Meanwhile, Croatia have been drawn into a challenging group featuring England, Ghana, and Panama, as both teams fine-tune their squads ahead of the expanded World Cup.
