Bournemouth have announced that German manager Marco Rose will take charge of the club next season, replacing departing coach Andoni Iraola.

Iraola confirmed last week that he will leave the Premier League side at the end of the current campaign after three years on England’s south coast.

Rose, formerly in charge of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, has signed a three-year contract and will officially begin his role after the 2025–26 season.

In a club statement, Bournemouth said they were “delighted” to appoint Rose, adding that the team’s immediate focus remains on finishing the season strongly as they chase a potential historic European qualification, with the club currently sitting eighth in the Premier League.

Rose has been out of management since leaving Leipzig in March 2025, but is known for his high-pressing style, similar to Iraola’s approach, and his track record of developing young talent.

During his career in Germany and Austria, Rose has coached players such as Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, and Dominik Szoboszlai, and previously won league titles with Red Bull Salzburg as well as the German Cup with Leipzig in 2023.
