The Chair of the Board of Governors and Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina Jasmina Selimović expressed her great appreciation for Egypt, its position, and the long-standing friendship between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina at various levels.
During her meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador to Sarajevo Walid Hagag, Selimović expressed her aspiration to cooperate with Egypt to open more channels of coordination and facilitate working mechanisms that contribute to advancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the economic field, and encourage mutual investments between the two sides.
It also discussed opportunities for cooperation that could be established between the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and its counterpart in Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) through the exchange of experiences and lessons learned, and studying each other's experiences in monetary governance, e-payments, financial inclusion, and others.
It also discussed providing training and capacity building opportunities for Bosnian cadres in the monetary, banking, and economic fields, as an extension of what Egypt provides to Bosnian cadres from various ministries and other government agencies.
