Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund failed in their attempt to renew the contract of winger Karim Adeyemi, whose current deal runs until June 30, 2027.
According to Sky Germany, Dortmund’s management were unable to reach an agreement with Karim Adeyemi on a contract extension, putting the player’s future at Signal Iduna Park in doubt.
The report added that agent Jorge Mendes is preparing to explore several offers from abroad as Adeyemi appears closer to leaving the club due to the lack of progress in negotiations.
Adeyemi is considered an essential attacking option for Dortmund coach Niko Kovac.
He has played 14 matches in all competitions this season, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists.
Borussia Dortmund are preparing to face Stuttgart today at Signal Iduna Park, in matchday 11 of the Bundesliga.
Dortmund currently sit third in the league table with 21 points, trailing leaders Bayern Munich by 7 points.
