He was born to die, my colleague, Hossam Shawky, he was one of the best people I have met over many years. He was a dear brother, friend, and colleague. He phoned me more than two months ago after an absence of about a year or more. I asked him about his latest productions and whether there were any productions, he said to me: "I am calling you just to say hello, not to talk about work or production". For those who do not know him, Hossam Shawky is one of the best TV producers in Egypt.
He worked as the production supervisor at Synergy Art Production Company. Anyone who sees him knows that he is very courageous, with his high morals, and good manners. His name has been linked to successful and purposeful works that attract the attention of the audience, such as Qalb Mayet with Nour Al-Sharif, Ferqat Nagi Atallah, Mamoun w Shorakah, and Afarit Adly Allam with Adel Imam, Al-Ikhtiyar, Abu Al-Banna, Allhoma Enni Sayem, and the last of them was the Al-Muallem series and the Al-Hashashin series, in the last Ramadan drama season. In addition to Kalabsh, Al-Ikhtiyar, Nasl Al-Agharab, Zelzal and Al-Prince, and many other works over 16 years of his artistic career, in which he presented about 60 serious, successful works.
Last Thursday, during his trip on the Dabaa Road, his car overturned, along with three other prominent producers, Mahmoud Kamel, Fathi Ismail, and Tamer Fathi.
We lost promising young men in the field of dramatic production who were able to put Egyptian production on a high level in the Middle East and the world.
Four of our creative producers were the victims of the high speed on the Dabaa Road. Certainly, the speed was high in order not to be late to the El Alamein Festival.
There must be oversight of the roads, traffic rules must be implemented, speed limits must be set, and radars must operate, especially after the road network has been developed and modernized.
May God have mercy on my brother and friend Hossam Shawky's soul and may God have mercy on the respected producers.
Oh God, grant them the highest level of paradise and grant their families patience and solace.
