Bollywood Actress Arya Banerjee Found Dead in Her Apartment

Bollywood actress and model Arya Banerjee was found dead, late Friday, at her south Kolkata residence, as police is still investigating in her death case, Mid-Day reported.

Banerjee did not respond to door bells , or phone calls in the morning, according to her neighbor who called the police.

The police found the body of the 33-year-old woman lying in the bedroom.

They stated that the body was sent for postmortem and a forensic team collected samples from her room.

On her part, actress Bidita Bag tweeted about the actress, mourning her death.

‘Target Kolkata’ actor Bidita Bag, who is Banerjee’s former roommate, hailed the Bollywood actress, saying :“A very talented girl, who used to sing and dance like a rock-star. She amazed us with her acting and dancing stint in films like LSD, Dirty picture.”

Actor Chandan Roy Sanyal  revealed that she was a fan of movies, as the duo often watched films by Woody Allen, Jean-Luc Godard, Francois Truffaut, Mrinal Sen, and Ritwik Ghatak.

She has acted in 'LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhoka' (2010) and other films besides 'The Dirty Picture' (2011). She also worked as a model in Mumbai and in 2014, appearing in an episode of Indian crime series 'Savdhaan India'.
