BMW to Launch It's Electric SUV in 2021

BMW firm unveiled its next electric vehicle iX SUV on Wednesday, as the brand’s first purpose-built electric SUV with two electric motors, 500hp and 375 miles of range. According to the firm, iX version will go into production at the company’s Dingolfing factory, located in Southern Bavaria, Germany, in the 2nd half of 2021 and is scheduled to arrive on US shores in early 2022.

BMW iX gets the same thin headlights and the bottom edge of the bumpers and doors has similar chunks of black trim with bright blue highlights. Also, the iX’s slippery design means it can cut through the air just as easily as the new BMW 4 Series.

Moreover, the new version of BMW’s iDrive that combines a 12.3-inch driver’s display with a massive 14.9-inch central touchscreen. This system comes with an upgraded version of BMW’s personal assistant.

According to AutoCar, Xi version has a fastest onboard computer ever fitted to a BMW, that can transmit all the information stored on a DVD in about a second. It needs this computing power to deal with all the data coming from all the sensors and cameras that are hidden behind the front grille.

Later, BMW revealed its new high-performance M3 sedan and M4 coupe on October, with a collection of factory designed Performance Parts upgrades for the car. According to Auto Car, the M4 xDrive coupe and its M3 xDrive saloon sibling are planned to follow the initial rear wheel drive models into showrooms next summer.

On other hand, the M3 and M4 have a carbonfibre-reinforced plastic roof with two ‘rails’ running lengthways to optimise airflow, a boot-mounted spoiler and a reworked rear bumper with a multi-channel diffuser and a pair of chromed round tailpipes either side

In contrast, it includes a heavily structured front bumper, standard full-LED headlights, a bonnet that features two distinctive indents to accentuate the look of the grille, widened front wings and sills, air ducts within the front flanks and double-arm wing mirror housings.

The chassis of the M3 and M4 builds on those of the M340i and M440i, with an aluminium-intensive double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension in combination with adaptive damping control. Alloy wheels with diameters of 18in at the front and 19in at the rear, shod with 275/40 and 285/35-profile tyres respectively, are fitted across both model ranges.
