Blinken to Commemorate 9/11 Attacks' 20th Anniversary

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the office of the Secretary of State Spokesperson said in a statement released on Thursday.

Blinken will host a ceremony at the Department of State that dedicated to the tragic attacks' victims on Friday.

Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins will moderate the ceremony and deliver the opening speech.

It is worthy to mention that US President Joe Biden will pay a visit to all 9/11 memorial sites as a tribute to all victims of the tragic attacks on the occasion of their 20th anniversary.

The three sites are ground zero in New York, the Pentagon, and the memorial outside Shanksville in Pennsylvania. He will be accompanied by the US First Lady Jill Biden.

US Vice President Kamala Harris will also join the President during his visit to Pentagon after attending a tribute event in Pennsylvania, and she will be accompanied by her husband Doug Emhoff.
