Blinken Says US Receives $335 Million from Sudan

The United States (U.S.) has received $ 335 million from Sudan to compensate the victims of the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, and the USS Cole in 2000, as well as the killing of diplomat John Granville in 2008, Secretary of State Antony Blinken revealed in a statement.

 

"We hope this aids will help them find some solace for the terrible tragedies that have occurred," Blinken added, referring to the victims.

 

"With this challenging process behind us, U.S.-Sudan ties can start a new chapter," he said.
