U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced a commitment to working with international partners to protect civilians and deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

This statement was made during a press release covered by Cairo News Agency, highlighting the U.S.'s focus on preventing the escalation of the conflict in the region.

Secretary Blinken emphasized the urgency of minimizing the conflict's expansion and exploring measures to maximize civilian protection in Gaza.

These remarks come against the backdrop of continued Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip, which have been ongoing for 92 consecutive days.

On October 7, Palestinian resistance factions launched a widespread attack on Israeli settlements surrounding Gaza, resulting in hundreds of Israeli casualties and over 130 prisoners.

This was followed by a prisoner exchange deal in which Israel released dozens of Palestinian prisoners.

The Israeli offensive in Gaza has been marked by its intensity and unprecedented scale, causing significant humanitarian concerns.

Official statistics report over 22,000 Palestinian fatalities and approximately 57,000 injuries. International and human rights organizations have described the situation as a "humanitarian disaster."

The U.S. State Department's involvement indicates a significant international response to the crisis, with efforts focusing on providing necessary humanitarian aid and seeking a resolution to the ongoing violence.
