Blinken Begins Four-Nations African Tour

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will begin an African tour on Monday, visiting four countries for talks focused on bolstering regional security, preventing conflict, promoting trade, and democracy.

Blinken is scheduled to visit Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Angola during the tour.

U.S. Secretary of State's visit to Africa comes at a time when the continent is facing a number of challenges

Blinken's visit is seen as an opportunity for the United States to reaffirm its commitment to Africa and to work with African leaders to address these challenges.
