In London, Big Ben has reopened after five years of restoration, and the last clock face in the Elizabeth Tower is starting to show the correct time again.

The Mail Online newspaper reported that the scaffolding was removed from the site at the end of the year. However, the passersby noticed that the western clock face was stuck at the 12 o'clock position.

Over the past 5 years, the clockwork and bell of Big Ben have undergone a major renovation project.

Watch companies from all over the UK participated in the restoration of the tower. The cost of the restoration amounted to 80 million pounds. During this, it became clear that the damage caused by the German bombing of the tower and its famous clock during WW2 was much greater than previously believed.
