Biden: US to Send Advanced Rocket Systems to Ukraine

US President Joe Biden said that the United States will send advanced rocket systems to Ukraine in order to strike Russia’s invasion.

Biden confirmed by this move in an opinion article published by The New York Times on Tuesday as he said while the war in Ukraine will only end through diplomacy, “every negotiation reflects the facts on the ground.”

“We have moved quickly to send Ukraine a significant amount of weaponry and ammunition so it can fight on the battlefield and be in the strongest possible position at the negotiating table,” the president said.

“We will provide the Ukrainians with more advanced rocket systems and munitions that will enable them to more precisely strike key targets on the battlefield in Ukraine,” he added.

Biden stressed that Washington is not supporting Ukraine to strike into Russia.

He did not rule out providing any specific weapons system. The US said earlier that it considers sending US-made multiple launch rocket systems and high-mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS).
