Social media users circulated a photo of US President Joe Biden holding cue cards during a news briefing in which he talked about ousting his counterpart Putin.

The US president's written response was, "I was expressing the moral outrage I felt toward the actions of this man.” “I was not articulating a change in policy."

The president confirmed that he will not take anything back about his statement the Russian president cannot be in power, stressing that he was expressing the moral outrage he felt towards Putin; it was based on his feelings.

“I had just come from being with those families," He said referring to Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw.

"But I want to make it clear, I wasn't then nor am I now articulating a policy change," he added.

The US president said that he will not apologize for what he said about Putin’s removal.
