On Tuesday, American President Joe Biden praised the Trump administration for the development of the Covid-19 vaccine, marking a rare moment where the two opponents have found common ground since Inauguration Day.

During a speech from the White House about his administration's efforts to address the Omicron variant of Covid-19, Biden took this occasion to confer rare words of praise upon former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Biden said: "I got my booster shot as soon as they were available, adding, "and just the other day former President Trump announced he had gotten his booster shot."

"It may be one of the few things he and I agree on," Biden added. "People with booster shots are highly protected. Join them. Join us."

Earlier, Biden revealed that a rematch against former President Donald Trump in 2024 only increased his desire to run for reelection, even though he is too old.

Speaking to American media, Biden reaffirmed that he intends to run for reelection in 2024, though he left a little wiggle room in his answer.

Biden said: "Yes, but look, I'm a great respecter of fate -- fate has intervened in my life many, many times. If I'm in the health I'm in now -- I'm in good health -- then in fact I would run again."
