Washington hailed the Egyptian endeavors to end Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip, when US President Joe Biden spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
"President Biden expressed his deep appreciation for the sincere efforts of Sisi," Rady said.
On his part, Sisi stressed the importance of joining all efforts to contain the dangerous escalation in the Palestinian territories, highlighting Egypt's steadfast position in this regard to reach a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue.
"There was an agreement between the two sides during the call to continue regular consultations and exchange of views, as well as to enhance fruitful mutual coordination between the concerned bodies in Cairo and Washington during the coming period," Rady added.
