Bibliotheca Alexandrina Lights Up with Panama Flag

The building of Bibliotheca Alexandrina was lit up on Tuesday with image of the Panama flag, in celebration of Panama's Independence day. 

The show was attended by Alejandro Gantez, Panama Ambassador to Egypt, accompanied by Ahmed El-Gendy, Director of Consular Affairs and Maritime Transport Affairs at the Embassy of Panama.

During the ceremony, the Panamanian ambassador stressed the depth of ties between Egypt and Panama, praising the achievements of the Egyptian government under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, especially in the field of infrastructure, as well as the implementation of a large number of mega projects in all fields that contribute to bringing about comprehensive development in Egypt.

Moreover, Gantez praised Egypt's pivotal role at the African and international levels, pointing out that Panama is witnessing a great maritime development and has many industrial zones on both sides of the Panama Canal.

He also stressed his country's keenness to further enhance cooperation with Egypt in various fields.
