In 2021, the singer revealed that she has been working on new music for the last 18 months.

She noted that the new music will help fans to find escapism after the turbulence and trauma of the coronavirus outbreak.

“With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I have been in the studio for a year and a half.” Beyoncé told Harper’s Bazaar.

The singer added that sometimes it takes her a year to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare, noting that there is nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that she feel in the recording studio.

“After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!” Beyoncé noted.

The singer’s last album was 2018’s “Everything Is Love”, featuring Jay-Z.
