A live-action movie of the popular toy franchise "Beyblade" is in development at Paramount.
Neil Widener and Gavin James are scripting the movie, with Jerry Bruckheimer producing alongside Paramount.
Beyblade was first released in Japan in July 1999 originally developed by the Japanese firm Taraka. It has been licensed by different toy companies over the years including Hasbro.
The spinning top toys would fight in a battle arena typesetting, which is similar to Pokémon and was its biggest competitor.
The toys were made into countless mangas, TV shows, video games, and comic books.
