American actress Betty White shared her plans to celebrate her 99th birthday on Sunday, noting that she will celebrate at home in quarantine.
"You probably didn't ask, but I’ll tell you anyway," White teased. "What am I doing for my birthday? Running a mile each morning has been curtailed by COVID, so I am working on getting The Pet Set re-released, and feeding the two ducks who come to visit me every day."
White starred on “The Pet Set” in the 1970s, produced by her late husband, which tapped into her lifelong love of animals, spotlighting celebrities like Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Doris Day, James Stewart, Burt Reynolds and many more.
"The Pet Set is one of my favorite shows," she said in a news release about the show's new platforms. "I’m thrilled it’s going to be seen again after all these years."
The series will be released on DVD and streaming platforms on Feb. 23 for its 50th anniversary, ET reported.
However, she is most famous for starring on "The Golden Girls" from 1985 to 1992 with Rue McClanahan, Bea Arthur, and Estelle Getty.
"I am blessed with good health so turning 99 is no different than turning 98," the actress told People, stressing the importance of 'a sense of humor.'
The actress always seemed positive about life, acting like a happy spirit.
"Betty loves to joke that vodka keeps her young. She loves the image of her sitting at home in a rocking chair, drinking a martini and watching game shows, but she's not really a big drinker," her friend stated. "That's not her. She'll only take a few sips of a cocktail if the occasion calls for it."
