Real Madrid announced on Saturday that their captain and Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema suffered from an injury in his leg.
The La Liga side said that the French striker will miss Madrid's game against Sevilla in La Liga.
"After the tests today on Karim Benzema by Real Madrid's medical services, they detected muscular fatigue in the quadriceps of his left leg," said Madrid in a statement on Saturday.
It is worth mentioning that Benzema guided the Whites to secure a 3-1 win over Barcelona in El Classico.
