Famous transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano stated that Karem Benzema had signed with the Saudi club Al-Ittihad a two-year contract that extends until 2025.
Reports had revealed in the previous days that the offer submitted by Al-Ittihad club to Benzema would extend for two years and an annual salary of 200 million euros for two seasons.
He will also get marketing advantages for his photos, in addition to schools in his name in Saudi Arabia.
On Sunday, the official Saudi Al Ekhbariya channel reported that Al-Ittihad, crowned champions of the Saudi Football League, had reached an official agreement to obtain the services of Benzema.
The channel indicated, quoting unnamed sources, that Benzema's contract with the "general" extends for two seasons.
It added that Al-Ittihad club president Anmar Al-Haili and his deputy, Ahmed Kaaki, traveled to the Spanish capital, Madrid, to sign the French footballer in a record transfer deal.
Moreover, Real Madrid announced Benzema's departure from the club after 14 years, during which he achieved all possible titles.
The Royal club described Benzema's period as "unforgettable", and considered his French star "one of the team's greatest legends."
