Moroccan star Achraf Bencharki was announced in Al Ahly's squad for their match against Zamalek on Saturday in the Egyptian Premier League.
Bencharki participated in team training normally and performed well, reassuring the coaching staff about his readiness.
The coaching staff is considering using him against his former Egyptian team Al Zamalek in the 129th Cairo Derby.
However, it has not yet been decided whether he will start the match or come off the bench.
Al Ahly's Coach Marcel Koller is contemplating giving Bencharki playing time, especially since he has not been out of action for long.
He suffered an injury with Qatar’s Al Rayyan at the end of January but is now medically and technically fit to take part in the derby.
