Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have officially extended the contract of Austrian international Konrad Laimer until June 2029, the German club announced on Monday.
The 29-year-old midfielder joined Bayern from RB Leipzig in 2023 and has since established himself as one of the club's most reliable performers.
During his time in Munich, Laimer has helped the Bavarian giants win two Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal, and the German Super Cup.
Bayern sporting director Max Eberl praised Laimer's influence on and off the pitch, highlighting his professionalism and commitment.
"Reliability at the highest level has a name. With his qualities and character, Konrad is an important part of this team. He is a player who inspires and motivates those around him every single day," Eberl said.
Since arriving at Bayern, Laimer has made 136 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing 19 assists.
Although naturally a midfielder, his versatility has allowed him to excel in several positions, with the Austrian international becoming a regular option at right back.
Renowned for his work rate, stamina and consistency, Laimer remained a key figure under head coach Vincent Kompany last season, featuring in almost every major fixture despite frequent squad rotation.
Speaking after signing his new deal, Laimer expressed his happiness at continuing his journey with Bayern.
"I've often said how happy I am in Munich and how much I enjoy playing football with this team. I can help the squad in several positions, and I want to continue giving everything I have for FC Bayern every single second," he said.
Laimer has also earned 61 international caps for Austria, scoring seven goals. He played every minute of Austria's campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup before the team was eliminated in the Round of 32 by eventual champions Spain.
The contract extension secures the future of one of Bayern's most dependable players as the club looks to build on its recent domestic success.
