Bayern Munich will look to take another step toward securing the Bundesliga title when they visit Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday at the BayArena in the 26th round of the competition.

Bayern enter the match sitting comfortably at the top of the standings with 66 points from 25 matches, having recorded 21 victories, three draws and only one defeat.

The Bavarian side has dominated the league this season and boasts the strongest attack in the competition, scoring an impressive 92 goals so far.

Their strength has not been limited to attacking play. Bayern have also demonstrated notable defensive solidity, conceding just 24 goals.

The combination of the league’s best attack and strongest defense has strengthened their chances of maintaining their lead until the end of the season.

In contrast, Bayer Leverkusen currently occupy sixth place with 44 points and will be hoping to capitalize on home advantage to secure a positive result that keeps their hopes alive of finishing in the European qualification spots next season.

Bayern will have to deal with several injury concerns. Canadian defender Alphonso Davies suffered a setback after leaving the match against Atalanta just 21 minutes after coming on as a substitute for Konrad Laimer.

Midfielder Jamal Musiala also picked up an injury in stoppage time of the same game after scoring the sixth goal.

Goalkeeper Jonas Urbig was forced to leave the field with medical assistance after replacing the injured Manuel Neuer, adding to Bayern’s injury concerns.

Despite those challenges, England striker Harry Kane is expected to lead Bayern’s attack from the start.
