Bayern Munich handed Tottenham their biggest and most embarrassing European defeat, demolishing them 7-0 at their own home turf as part of the Champions League Group B on Tuesday. The Spurs were shocked by the constant pressure the Bavarians put on the as they suffered hard in the beginning of their European campaign.

Son Heung-min gave last season's runners-up Tottenham a deserved 12th-minute lead, with the Spurs wasting several chances to enforce their lead throughout the next few minutes.

Joshua Kimmich scored a brilliant equalizer from outside the box before Robert Lewandowski put Bayern ahead at the break with a terrific finish.

But two goals in two second-half minutes from former Arsenal man Serge Gnabry took the game away from Spurs. Five minutes later, Harry Kane had scored a goal for Spurs from the penalty spot after Danny Rose had been brought down. But Gnabry completed his hat-trick with seven minutes remaining.

Once again, the German got the run on Serge Aurier and he finished calmly past Lloris. But Bayern weren't done there, Lewandowski still had time to produce another world-class finish to make it 6-2 and Gnabry made it 7-2 with another brilliant finish.

Bayern top Group B with six points from two games with Tottenham on one. Red Star Belgrade are second with three points after beating Olympiakos 3-1.
