Officials at EuroAirport near the Swiss city of Basel announced on Sunday morning that the airport has been closed due to a bomb threat, leading to the evacuation of the departure terminal.
Situated at the tri-border area between France, Switzerland, and Germany, EuroAirport operates under joint supervision by French and Swiss authorities.
According to the airport, airport operations have been suspended, and access roads to the airport were closed shortly before 6:00 AM GMT.
It's worth noting that EuroAirport in Basel, along with several other regional airports in France, has previously been affected by false bomb threats.
