Barcelona's goalkeeper and Germany international Marc-André ter Stegen returned to training for the first time on Saturday as he continues his recovery from a serious injury.
According to Barcelona’s official website, Ter Stegen is making progress in his recovery and already started training on the pitch.
The website also mentioned that Ter Stegen is still working hard to return.
Currently, the German goalkeeper, who still has a long way to go, is training at the Joan Gamper Sports City as he continues his rehabilitation process.
Ter Stegen suffered an injury on September 22 during a match against Villarreal, where he sustained a complete rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee.
In the same context, recent Spanish media reports have revealed the expected timeline for Ter Stegen’s return to action with FC Barcelona.
The Catalan newspaper Sport reported that Ter Stegen’s recovery is progressing much better than expected, and the goalkeeper has already indicated that he could be considered for the final matches of the current season.
The newspaper added that Ter Stegen is on the verge of achieving a remarkable comeback after undergoing knee surgery at the end of September.
