The Spanish FC Barcelona have announced that their midfielder Carles Aleñá has been loaned to Getafe CF for a period of 6 months.
Barcelona issued an official statement on its website, stating: "Barcelona and Getafe CF have reached an agreement for the loan of the player Carles Aleñá until the end of the 2020/21 season and the Madrid club will take over the player's wages,"
The midfielder has played 43 games for FC Barcelona first team in which he has scored 3 goals.
In the current season Aleñá has made 5 appearances for the first team, two in La Liga and three in the Champions League, according to the Barcelona official website.
He progressed through the ranks at La Masia, and made his debut in the Copa del Rey in the 2016/17 season.
He became an official first team player in the 2018/19 season after two seasons between the first team and Barça B.
In January 2020 he went on loan to Betis where he made 19 appearances scoring one goal.
