Spanish side Barcelona will host Greek team Olympiacos tonight, Tuesday, at Spotify Camp Nou, as part of the third round of the 2025-2026 UEFA Champions League group stage.
Barcelona, led by German coach Hans Flick, aim to win this match to make up for their previous defeat against Paris Saint-Germain and improve their standing in the Champions League table.
Barcelona started the group stage with a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United in the first round, then suffered an exciting 2-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the second round, earning only three points so far and placing sixteenth in the group.
Flick is competing in the 2025-2026 Champions League hoping to return to continental glory after an 11-year absence.
On the other hand, Olympiacos coach José Luis Mendilibar aims to deliver a strong performance.
Mendilibar said before the match: “Barcelona is a ruthless team, and we cannot afford to repeat the mistakes we’ve made recently because they will punish every slip-up. We must play with courage and focus and show Olympiacos’ true face. We have a chance to prove we can compete with the big clubs, but that will only happen if we give 90 minutes of top-level discipline and spirit.”
