Barcelona Submit Bid to Host 2029 UEFA Champions League Final

FC Barcelona have officially submitted a bid to host the 2029 UEFA Champions League Final at the renovated Spotify Camp Nou.

The club confirmed that the application was prepared in partnership with the Barcelona City Council, the Government of Catalonia, and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), which is acting as the host and co-organizing association.

Barcelona stated that UEFA has received the complete bid dossier, including all technical, operational, contractual, and institutional requirements necessary for the candidacy.

The club believes the ongoing Espai Barça redevelopment project strengthens its chances, with the revamped Spotify Camp Nou expected to become one of the most modern and technologically advanced stadiums in world football once construction is completed.

Hosting the Champions League final would provide an opportunity to showcase the stadium to a global audience and mark a major milestone in Barcelona's long-term infrastructure project.

Camp Nou has a rich history of staging major European finals. The stadium hosted the 1989 European Cup Final and the memorable 1999 UEFA Champions League Final, widely regarded as one of the most dramatic finals in the competition's history.

UEFA will now evaluate all candidate cities before announcing the host venue for the 2029 final. 

Barcelona hope that the newly renovated Camp Nou will be selected to stage Europe's biggest club football match once again.
