Barcelona have reportedly reached a preliminary agreement with Alessandro Bastoni, despite Inter Milan maintaining their stance against selling the defender in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to Calciomercato, confidence is growing in Spain that the deal could materialize after direct negotiations between Barcelona and the Italian international.

The report states that the two parties have agreed in principle to a five-year contract.

The proposed deal would see Bastoni earn a net salary of around €7 million per season, plus bonuses, significantly higher than his current earnings at Inter, which are estimated at €5.5 million annually excluding incentives.

The report also indicates that formal talks between Barcelona and Inter Milan are expected to begin soon, as the Spanish club aims to finalize the transfer before the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Barcelona are expected to submit an initial offer in an attempt to reduce Inter’s asking price, which is believed to range between €70 million and €80 million.

Despite the progress made with the player, financial differences between the two clubs remain unresolved, and negotiations are ongoing as all parties work toward reaching a full agreement.
