On Tuesday, Spanish club FC Barcelona officially announced the renewal of Lamine Yamal's contract until June 2031.
According to a statement released by the Catalan club, the new contract was signed on Tuesday at the club's offices in the presence of Barcelona President Joan Laporta, First Vice President Rafa Yuste, and Sporting Director Anderson Luís de Souza "Deco", along with several other club officials.
Renewing Yamal's contract marks a new milestone in the career of a player regarded as one of the brightest football talents in the world, despite his young age.
He made his debut with the first team on April 29, 2023, at just 15 years old.
He played a key role in the team's domestic campaign during the 2024/2025 season, including winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
So far, he has made 106 appearances for the first team, scoring 25 goals and providing 34 assists.
The player holds several impressive records, including being the youngest goalscorer in the history of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup, as well as the youngest player to reach 100 appearances in a Barcelona shirt.
