FC Barcelona officially confirmed that its La Liga Matchday 13 fixture against Athletic Bilbao, scheduled for Saturday, November 22, will be played once again at Camp Nou.
The return comes after the club secured new occupancy permits allowing large sections of the stadium to reopen to supporters.
The decision follows the approval of the Phase 1B permit, which increases the available capacity to 45,401 spectators, including full access to the stadium’s side stand.
Barcelona are now working on completing Phase 1C, which aims to reopen the north stand once all safety, comfort, and operational standards are met.
The club also confirmed that it is coordinating with UEFA to host its upcoming Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt at Camp Nou as well.
Final approval is pending after meeting all required technical specifications.
Barcelona highlighted several upgrades completed as part of the stadium’s redevelopment project: Expanded capacity for 45,401 fans with improved accessibility, 129 dedicated seats for people with reduced mobility, Enhanced spaces for supporter comfort, a new players’ tunnel and modernized dressing rooms for both teams, strengthened evacuation and safety measures, including more emergency exits and barriers, installation of an advanced fire prevention and suppression system, and new digital entry systems compatible with ongoing construction work around the stadium.
