Banque Misr has announced an increase in the annual return on its three-year fixed savings certificate “Al Qemma,” raising it to 17.25% with monthly payouts, up from 16%, effective Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
The bank stated that customers can purchase or renew the certificate عبر its various digital channels, including internet banking and the BM Online mobile application, as well as through ATMs and its nationwide branch network, which includes around 900 branches and banking units.
The certificate is available starting from EGP 1,000 and in multiples thereof, and is issued to individual clients. The investment period begins from the next working day following the purchase date.
Banque Misr also offers a range of credit facilities linked to the certificate, allowing customers to borrow against it or obtain credit cards backed by its value. Additionally, clients can redeem the certificate after six months from the issuance date, in accordance with the bank’s terms and conditions.
The move reflects the bank’s strategy to continuously enhance its savings products in line with market developments, while aiming to meet customer needs and maintain its competitive position in the banking sector.
