Saudi journalist Bandary Hobrom was awarded Best Investigative Report at the 2025 Arab Media Excellence Awards during the closing session of the 55th Council of Arab Information Ministers at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
Hobrom won for her report, “Youth Information Sources in Digital Media Spaces,” published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), which also earned Best Digital Photo by Faisal Al-Wuhaimer.
Speaking after the announcement, Hobrom said she felt “deep gratitude for an honor that crowns years of fieldwork,” adding that the report aimed to understand “the rapidly shifting information landscape shaping young Arabs.” She dedicated the award to SPA “for its support and professional environment,” and to Arab youth, “who remain at the heart of every story we tell.”
Other winners included Kuwait TV, Iraq TV, Algeria Radio, and media figures honored by Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
