Bahraini Foreign Minister (FM) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, and European Union's Special Envoy for Gulf Region, Luigi Di Maio discussed on Monday, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields.
The two sides reviewed developments in the political and security situation and challenges in the Middle East region, and their repercussions on the security, stability and prosperity of the region, as well aa regional and international efforts aimed at maintaining global peace and stability, according to Bahraini news agency.
The two sides touched on the path of joint cooperation between Gulf Cooperatiom Council (GCC) and the European Union and its promotion to more comprehensive horizons that meet the aspirations of both sides and contribute to strengthening and developing joint cooperation in areas of common interest.
They also reviewed the ongoing preparations for holding the joint Gulf-European ministerial meeting in Muscat next October.
