On Sunday, the Qatari sports channel Al-Kass reported that the Iraqi capital Baghdad will host a friendly game between Egypt's biggest rivals: Al Ahly and Al Zamalek.
According to the Qatari channel, "The Iraqi capital, Baghdad, will host a match between Al Ahly and Zamalek as part of the celebrations marking Baghdad’s selection as the Arab Capital of Tourism. The match is scheduled for March 13 and will be contested for the inaugural Baghdad Cup."
Al Ahly is set to travel to Iraq on March 12. The club’s officials approved the friendly against Zamalek after receiving the approval from their Head Coach Marcel Koller.
Last week, the Egyptian giants clashed against each other in a game that ended with a 1-1 draw.
