Production on Egyptian stars Amir Karara and Yasmine Sabri's new film "Baebae" (The Bogeyman) is set to resume shooting immediately after Eid Al-Fitr.
The shooting was suspended due to Karara being busy with the TV series "Souq Canto" (Canto Market), which is set to screen in Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.
It also stars Basem Samra, Mohamed Abdul Rahman Tota, Mohamed Anwar, Abbas Awal Al-Hassan, and others.
The film is scripted by Ihab Blaybel, directed by Hussein Al-Manbawi, and produced by Synergy Films.
"Baebae" stars Karara as a former criminal called Sultan and the friend of Soca (Abdel Rahman), who face many dilemmas.
The film marks the actor's return to the big screen after 4-year hiatus. He made his last appearance in the 2019 film "Casablanca".
Karara, born on October 10, 1977, is an Egyptian actor and broadcaster. He has a degree in tourism from Cairo University.
He rose to fame through hosting television contest shows like “Star Maker” and “The Deal”.
Moreover, he played in the national volleyball team, in a lot of national and international games.
Karara is known for his roles in TV series “Shabab Al Hawa” (Guys online), and “Lahazat Hariga” (The Egyptian version of ER), “Taraf Talit” (Third Party) “Taht El Ard” (Underground), and “kalabsh” trilogy.
The actor is married to Hend Salah Hosny, the sister of Egyptian actor and retired professional footballer Ahmed Salah Hosny.
The couple tied the knot in 2010 and has three children, a boy, and two girls, named Salim, Lily, and Nelly.
