Azar, Hawass, Mostafa Shaban First Guests of CIBF 51th

Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly will open Wednesday afternoon the 51th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF), in the presence of Minister of Culture Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, and Head of The General Book Authority Dr. Haitham Al-Hajj.

 

This 51th CIBF’s guest of honor is Senegal, while Egyptian scholar and geographer Gamal Hamdan, who wrote the Encyclopedia of Egypt’s Personality, was named as the focus personality of the year.

Meanwhile, the book fair is scheduled to open its doors tomorrow, Thursday (January 23) to the public, which witnesses the start of the activities of the cultural program.

The first day is packed full of events and activities for all, which is topped by a seminar and a book signing ceremony, held by Egyptian archaeologist, Dr. Zahi Hawass in the writer and book hall at 2 PM.

 

On the other hand, Egyptian Engineer Hani Azar will take part in an intellectual meeting, held at the main hall, which is named after him. It will begin at 5 PM. Meanwhile, the cinema hall will host Egyptian actor Mostafa Shaban at the same time.

Moreover, it is scheduled for Ugandan Ambassador Okola Michelle to take part in a seminar to be held at the Africa Hall at 2 PM, followed by an important seminar on the African Union harvest 2019 at 5 PM.
