Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg warned on Monday of the continued spiral of escalation in the Middle East, considering that everyone loses in this conflict.
The Foreign Minister said - in statements today - that the exacerbation of the already tense situation in the Middle East also poses a threat to Europe and the world, and therefore it is necessary to create “more space for diplomacy and dialogue because the situation is very dangerous.”
The minister added that after the Iranian attack on Israel, the “red line” was crossed and the attack was “completely unacceptable and irresponsible.” He called on Iran to stop all measures in this regard.
The minister stressed the importance of the European Union foreign ministers' meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, in strengthening European consultation on developments in the situation in the Middle East.
