Atlético Madrid have reportedly made their stance clear regarding the future of Julián Álvarez, with the Spanish club unwilling to sell the striker to rivals Real Madrid for less than €150 million during the summer transfer window.
Recent reports linked Real Madrid with a move for the Argentine forward, who has also attracted interest from several European giants, including FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC, and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to Spanish outlet Cadena SER, Atletico Madrid would demand €150 million from Real Madrid for Alvarez's transfer, the same valuation they would apply to Barcelona should the Catalan club pursue a deal.
The report adds that the 26-year-old striker has no intention of forcing a move to Real Madrid and would reportedly prefer a switch to Barcelona if he were to leave Atletico.
Alvarez joined Atletico Madrid from Manchester City in the summer of 2024 and remains under contract until 2030. His current deal reportedly includes a €500 million release clause, giving Atletico a strong negotiating position.
The Argentine international enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, making 49 appearances across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing nine assists.
His performances have further increased his value and made him one of the most sought-after forwards in European football.
