Athletic Bilbao Announce Nico Williams Injury before Barcelona Clash

On Tuesday, Athletic Bilbao announced that their winger Nico Williams sustained an injury.

This injury came 24 hours before the team's clash against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup semi-finals, which will be held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.

In an official statement on its website, Athletic Bilbao confirmed that Williams sustained an ankle injury, forcing him to miss training as a precautionary measure. The club has not yet set a timeline for his return to action.

The statement said: "Nico Williams has suffered a bruise to his left ankle and is pending evolution."

It added: “The player has not trained with the rest of the teammates as a precaution.”
