At Least 2 Killed, Dozens Injured in Turkey Bus Crash

At least two people were killed and 42 others wounded in Turkey's central Anatolian province after a bus carrying university students crashed, TRT news reported on Sunday.

The accident occurred in the province of Nigde as the bus followed from the city of Konya. The driver lost control and flew off the road, the vehicle rolled over, according to the preliminary information.

Currently, all the victims are hospitalized. The police are investigating the accident.

Last February, at least five people killed and 26 others were injured in a bus accident in central Turkey. Officials took the wounded people to nearby hospitals as they suffered severe injuries.

Reports revealed the incident took place between the settlements of Aksaray and Konya as the tourist bus went off the road and overturned.

“The embassy has not received any appeals from Russian citizens in connection with the accident,” the Russian embassy in Turkey said.
