At least 100 injured as train derails in Qalioubia

Prime minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly phoned on Sunday the Minister of Transport and the Governor of Qalioubia to follow up on the Cairo-Mansoura train accident, directing the Ministry of Health to provide the necessary medical services to the injured people.

The Governorate of Qalioubia announced in a statement a short while ago, that at least 103 people were injured after a train derailed in Egypt's Qalioubia province north of Cairo.

20 ambulances rushed to the scene to transfer the injured people to hospitals.

Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, and Kamel El Wazir, minister of transportation, went to Qalioubia Governorate to follow up the health conditions of the injured in the hospitals.

On the other hand, Security and medical sources confirmed, that 8 were killed in the accident.
